Did I forget to introduce myself...?

I just started reading Who Let The Blogs Out? and I’ve gotten about a fourth the way through I realized that I’ve never really written about who I am. My blog is a random mess of things I’m interested in but I’ve never actually introduced myself.

So my name is Eric Albee, I’m 18 years old and currently residing in Minnesota. I recently joined DEP (the Delayed-enlistment Program) for the United States Air Force and I’m waiting to ship out to Basic Training. First and foremost I consider myself an artist. My usual medium is photography but I also draw and digitally manipulate other media. On my Flickr I completed a 365 project, where I took a photo everyday for a year.

Another huge part of me is traveling. Whenever students came to my schools from other countries I would instantly be drawn to them because I’m fascinated by different cultures. My first real foreign friend was from Denmark, since meeting her four years ago I’ve hosted multiple students from Spain, France, and I’m now hosting a student from South Korea. I’ve also traveled to Spain three times, Germany twice, Denmark twice, and I had a really short trip to France. Just a couple months ago I took a road trip to New Jersey, then flew Space-A (military free travel) over to Ramstein, Germany.

I love almost every kind of music, from Swing to House music. My musical ability and dance abilities are non-existent, so I opt to listening to music instead. SCA-P is probably my favorite Punk Ska band right now, Pendulum is my favorite Drum and Bass band, Killers are my favorite Rock, and don’t get me started on The XX… seriously talk to me about music! A bunch of my posts will probably talk about what music I’m listening to at the time- for example, right now I’m listening to Marina & the Diamonds.

Fallout: New Vegas is currently my favorite videogame (have you read my review of it?!), competing with Half-Life 2 and Team Fortress 2. I game mostly on my Xbox 360 but I play some PC games on Steam like TF2. If you ever want to join up with me, my Live name is AlphaSniper7 and my Steam name is idreamtowakeup. Unfortunately with training for Basic training, writing blogs, and reading, I don’t get much time to play anymore.

I avidly follow Davey Wavey‘s blog, Brooke Shaden, and Agnes-Cecile. Lately I’ve started watching Russ Marine 2014 and The Lean Machines, off recommendations from Davey Wavey’s stream. Both are awesome and I highly recommend them!

Marvel makes some awesome comics, so I’ve been reading through a bunch of the Ultimates and some Young Avengers. Whatever I can find at the library. I literally just bought “Divided We Fall, United We Stand” yesterday and I’m getting through it slowly. I probably won’t write too much on comics because I don’t really get the newest material but hey, I love comics anyways. Captain America, Winter Soldier, Havok, Scarlet Witch, Rictor, it’s all good.
